Innovation at Smart Manufacturing Week

We’ve been at the NEC Birmingham this week at Smart Manufacturing Week.
Being part of the cutting-edge of innovation for the Food & Beverage sector means we continually look for new ideas across the whole manufacturing industry, and ensure we’re bringing the very latest in software development.
AI has been the theme of many keynotes and the subject of many conversations we’ve had around the show. That will come as no surprise given the increasing presence of AI in our day-to-day interactions and working lives.
We’re continuing our work to use AI in a smart way that will help our clients through their unique challenges.
As we heard stories of using new technology at SMW25 – including AI but encompassing far more – transformation and change management surfaced in each one. It was inspiring to hear how manufacturers have embraced a change mindset, acknowledging there will be hurdles along the way but they will be overcome – even if this takes time.
Horizon scanning opportunities like SMW25 are a confirmation of the transformation themes in our conversations with Food & Beverage clients. Hearing about the goals and rewards that transformation is bringing has been a positive and rewarding experience.
Smart Manufacturing Week celebrates the best in UK manufacturing and engineering excellence and innovation. It’s designed to help support the sector in all stages of their smart manufacturing and engineering journeys. It’s the largest UK festival of advanced manufacturing and engineering of the year, and it’s a show we’ve been looking forward to attending for a while.
Thank you everyone at Smart Manufacturing Week for sharing your insights.
